The Agrupación Músico Cultural ‘Virgen de Loreto’ de Bejís has chosen Flash, suite for wind band, as a work of free choice to participate in the XL Contest Provincial de Bandas de Castellón.

Bands selected to participate in the Contest will hold the auditions in the order that will be determined by drawing lots. The day of competition will be held on April 22, 2017 in the Auditorium Palau de Congressos de Castelló (Spain).

Each band must interpret two works, one obliged and one of free choice of maximum 22 minutes. Before the official competition, each of the bands will play a non-punctuable passodoble of a composer of the province of Castellón, whose duration can not be more than 5 minutes.

The obligatory works are as follows:

1st section: El sombrero de tres picos, Suite nº 2, by Manuel de Falla.
2nd section: Impressions simfòniques,  by Ivan Romero Fuentes.
3rd section: Onco’s (symphonic poem), by Antonio Ruda Peco.
4th section: El dorado, Symphonic Suite, by Carlos Valles Donate.
